We have a rich history
COUNTRY Financial dates back about 90 years, to a group of farmers who came together in Chicago in 1925 to form a fire and lightning insurance company for Illinois farmers who otherwise went uninsured. A year later, the company expanded and began to offer coverage for autos and equipment. Over most of the last century, we’ve kept expanding – and we’re determined to be the best provider of financial security in America.

From humble beginnings in Chicago, we now have career opportunities across the country. We operate in 19 states spanning the area from Seattle to Savannah, Ga. – and Alaska, too – with over 1 million households in force. We have more than 3,000 employees and 2,000 representatives working every day to serve our customers. We offer a full range of financial solutions and services to meet a broad range of insurance and financial needs.
We connect with our communities through volunteerism
We are driven by a culture of volunteerism. Our people are the greatest connection to the communities where we live and work. In recent years, employees have donated over 20,000 volunteer hours back to the areas that needed it the most. Organizations like American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and United Way are just a few of our partners. We also recognize the representatives and employees who go above and beyond in their volunteer activities. Our Community Service Award recipients are recognized for outstanding efforts along with a donation to the honoree’s organization.
With COUNTRY, I’ve had the opportunity to live in three different places and use my strengths to make a difference. Whether as a representative helping our customers, or as a manager helping our new representatives, each day I am part of COUNTRY's goal to take care of people.
