Intro to Boat Insurance
Home insurance from COUNTRY Financial® automatically provides coverage for your watercraft up to $1,500. If you have a boat or other watercraft worth more than that, you can purchase additional boat insurance coverage on your home policy.
You'll receive coverage for your boats, motors, trailers, boating accessories.
Liability and Medical Insurance
Liability coverage is automatically included with your boat insurance and helps protect you if someone is injured as a result of the operation of your boat, you damage someone’s property while operating your boat, or you’re sued for those injuries or damages and have legal defense costs.
Additional Liability Coverage
Certain larger boats and those with larger motors won’t qualify for this automatic coverage, but additional coverage is available for purchase. We can help you determine what type of liability coverage your boat needs.
Medical payments coverage can provide coverage for others’ medical costs if they’re injured on your boat.
Your liability and medical limits will be the same limits you choose for your home insurance.
Boats and boating equipment can be damaged in the water, on land or while being towed. Specific coverages will be included in your policy for damage to your boat and other equipment from things like collision, theft and fire.
Boat insurance provides coverage for your boat and equipment at the cost to repair or replace the damaged property, minus depreciation. Your home insurance deductible (the portion you’ll owe out of pocket) will apply to any covered physical damage claim. Coverage limits are either $1,500 or the increased amount you chose to add to your home policy.
