Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Welcome 70 Interns for 2025 Summer Program

The Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) and COUNTRY Financial kicked off the 2025 summer internship program this week, welcoming a talented group of college students ready to make an impact.

This summer, a total of 70 interns have joined our organizations:

• 39 COUNTRY Financial interns
• 11 Illinois Farm Bureau interns
• 20 DigitaLab interns

“We’re thrilled to welcome these talented individuals representing 14 universities from across the country,” said Kristin Adams, Director of Talent Management. “The energy and fresh perspectives they bring not only contribute to our work but also provide them with invaluable professional experiences.”

A launchpad for future leaders

Our internship programs are designed to be more than just a summer job. They provide meaningful, hands-on experiences that prepare students for success after college—and give our organizations a first look at tomorrow’s top talent, a vital part of cultivating our talent pipeline and delivering on our strategic priority of investing in people and teams.

Interns work on real-world projects that create lasting value for our clients, members, and communities. This summer’s programming includes:

• Immersive business experience: Interns gain firsthand insight into the COUNTRY vision and mission, as well as the IFB mission. They rotate through key business areas to build a strong foundation in their field.
• Professional development: Career workshops focused on resume building, interviewing, and workplace skills help interns sharpen their professional edge. One-on-one mentorship fosters personal and career growth.
• Team-based competitions: COUNTRY interns will showcase their creativity and critical thinking in a case study competition on July 24.
• Innovation spotlight: DigitaLab interns will present their work during the Project Showcase the first week in August, highlighting the innovative solutions they’ve developed throughout the summer.
