Paperless Terms and Conditions

COUNTRY Mutual Insurance Company, COUNTRY Preferred Insurance Company, COUNTRY Casualty Insurance Company, COUNTRY Life Insurance Company, COUNTRY Investors Life Assurance Company, and Cotton States Life Insurance Company (collectively, “Company”) are required by applicable law to provide you with certain disclosures before proceeding with an Electronic Transaction, which in this context means the process of your receiving documents in electronic format from Company. Transaction Document(s) means those documents that you have elected to receive electronically and that may be required in the course of your doing business with Company, including but not limited to an application for insurance, Proxies, Endorsements, Elections, Rejections, Discounts, and Waivers.  Doing business with Company electronically is voluntary.  If you wish to continue to receive hardcopy documents, exit this document, and select “No thanks” on the prior screen. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.

By selecting “Agree and save changes” on the prior screen, you are consenting to do business with Company electronically. This means that the electronic Transaction Documents will serve as the sole, authentic, and governing versions with full business and legal effect.  You will no longer receive paper copies. Company has chosen to provide the Transaction Documents in Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf). Your computer or mobile device must be able to access .pdf documents in order to proceed and you must select “sample PDF” on the prior screen to attest to your ability to access documents provided in this format.  If in the future the requirements should change in order to continue to access .pdf documents, your hardware or software provider will inform you of what you may need to do, if anything.

If you consent to do business with Company electronically, you may withdraw that consent (“unenroll”) at any time. To do so, navigate to your Communication Preferences within the Profile & Settings menu of your online account dashboard. Find the accounts and policies you’d like to unenroll and de-select them. This can be done for individual accounts and policies you select, or for all. You’ll then begin receiving hard-copy documents for any account or policy you unenrolled. If you should choose to unenroll, it will not serve to void any Transaction Documents which you have already consented to receive electronically.

Your consent does not require that Company provide continual access to the Transaction Documents through electronic means. For this reason, we ask that you print the Transaction Documents if you wish to retain a copy.
