DriverIQ Program Terms and Conditions

By opting to participate in the DriverIQ program you understand and agree to the following:

  • To enroll in DriverIQ, you must download the DriverIQ Mobile app on a compatible smartphone and keep the app current by downloading any future app updates. The DriverIQ app is designed for iOS and Android smartphones, however, some phones are not compatible due to not being equipped with the required sensors (e.g., gyroscope). If your phone is not compatible with the DriverIQ app, we will remove the discount and you will not be able to participate until you have a compatible phone.
  • To complete enrollment, you must download and complete setup of the DriverIQ app, AND, COUNTRY Financial must receive driving data within 30 days of you being enrolled in the program.
  • If COUNTRY Financial® does not receive driving data from your phone for a period of 30 consecutive days, you will be considered an inactive user and we will remove the DriverIQ discount. 
  • If you’re removed from the program due to inactivity you can re-enroll prior to your next renewal, however, you’ll receive a reduced discount on your renewal date. 
  • If we suspect a pattern of manipulating DriverIQ data or frequent disabling of the DriverIQ app, or we determine that driving data sent to COUNTRY Financial may not be representative of your actual driving behavior, the enrollment discount or performance-based discount may be removed, and you may be removed from the DriverIQ program. 
  • If an insufficient amount of trip data is recorded over your policy period and Country Financial is unable to make an accurate assessment of your driving behavior, the enrollment discount or performance-based discount may be reduced.
  • The phone number you provide at enrollment and during the DriverIQ app setup must be valid and must be the phone number associated with the smartphone running the DriverIQ app.  
  • If your smartphone is replaced, the DriverIQ app must be installed and setup on your new device to continue receiving the discount. 
  • You must contact COUNTRY Financial and ask to update your DriverIQ account with any phone number changes.
  • A valid email address must be used during app setup and registration.
  • You must accept all required phone permissions when prompted during DriverIQ app setup. For all location and motion settings permissions, “Always Allow” must be selected and always enabled, or you will become an inactive user and removed from the program.
  • You must have your compatible smartphone on and remain logged into the DriverIQ app when you are driving. The DriverIQ app must always be enabled in the background. 
  • If you become inactive or opt out of the DriverIQ program, any applied premium discount will be removed.
  • You may voluntarily opt out of the program at any time by contacting your Country Financial representative or calling 866-COUNTRY (866-268-6879), at which time the DriverIQ discount will be removed.
  • COUNTRY Financial may contact you via email and/or text with information regarding the DriverIQ program. Notwithstanding any other communication preferences designated by you with COUNTRY Financial for any other product or program and except where prohibited by law, by providing your email address and/or telephone number(s) as a condition of participating in the DriverIQ program, you expressly agree to receive telecommunications about the DriverIQ program (including, but not limited to, email, text messaging, artificial voice messages, or any other type of telecommunication), including reminders, alerts, updates, or any other program information.
  • The enrollment discount will transition to a performance-based discount based on your driving performance at renewal. Your performance-based discount may increase or decrease based on your driving performance at each subsequent policy renewal if you remain an active user.
  • At each renewal, your driving performance discount is calculated based on your driving behavior and could be reduced.
  • By participating in the DriverIQ program you may receive a premium discount for the following coverages applicable to your policy: Bodily Injury, Medical Payments, Property Damage, Comprehensive and Collision. 
  • The DriverIQ discount will apply to each eligible vehicle with a primary rated driver voluntarily participating in the program. This discount will apply until you no longer meet the program eligibility criteria, or until COUNTRY Financial discontinues the DriverIQ Program. 
  • We may use the driving data we receive for internal purposes (including, where permitted, use of telematics data for claims) and for improvement to the DriverIQ program. 
  • You agree to release COUNTRY Financial and any other data service providers from any liability associated with the disclosure of information gathered through the DriverIQ Program.
  • COUNTRY Financial will not disclose the information to third parties except as required by law or as stated in the Customer Privacy Policy of COUNTRY Financial available at https://www.countryfinancial.com/en/privacy-and-security/privacy-and-security-policy.html
  • COUNTRY Financial reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. If any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions will be posted on this page immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes.
  • COUNTRY Financial reserves the right to discontinue the DriverIQ program at any time.
