Can I be denied coverage?

During your open enrollment period, you can’t be denied  insurance coverage or charged additional premium because of past or present health problems.   Your open enrollment period is the six months after you turn 65 and enroll in Medicare Part B. You can apply for coverage from age 65 to 75, but it’s important not to wait.  After open enrollment, you’ll have to take a medical exam, which could result in higher premiums or denied coverage.
