Ready to go on a treasure hunt?

For many folks, there’s nothing better than spending the day browsing through antiques, novelties, and “junk.” Here are some of our favorite flea markets across the U.S.

Fremont Sunday Street Market, Seattle – Since 1990, the Freemont Sunday Street Market has welcomed up to 200 vendors every Sunday, rain or shine, bringing antiques, collectibles, bygones, retro, vintage, original fashion, tools, deluxe junk and estate sale treasures. Don’t eat before you go, because there are a variety of food vendors as well offering a smorgasbord of tasty delights.

Shipshewana Auction and Flea Market, Indiana – Advertised as the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market, you can shop on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May through the first weekend in October. With over 900 vendor locations, you’re sure to find a little of everything. Visit their website or facebook page for upcoming auction information, as well as special events.

127 Corridor Sale – This only occurs once a year for 4 days, and it’s more of a garage sale, but you likely won’t find a bigger event.  The sale runs from 5 miles north of Addison, MI, south to Chattanooga, TN, then switches to the Lookout Mountain Parkway, continuing to Gadsden, AL for a total of 690 miles! It runs annually starting on the first Thursday in August, so make plans now!

Scott Antique Markets, Atlanta – Throughout the year, antique hunters head to the Atlanta Expo Center for what is the billed as the “World’s Largest Monthly Indoor Antique Show” and  “America’s Favorite Treasure Hunt”.  You’re sure to find a little bit of everything at this show, whose popularity has prompted it to expand into two locations in Ohio as well.

Mile High Flea Market, Denver – This event truly has something for the entire family.  The Rocky Mountain region’s largest year-round, open-air shopping and entertainment destination features over 3,000 outdoor sellers every weekend, along with enclosed shops, a year-round farmers market and kids areas.

Have fun as you travel to some of these great markets, and be sure to leave enough room in the car or your luggage for your “finds”.
