On October 16th, it was 90 degrees in the shade in Moultrie, GA. Hurricane Michael had blown through the area three days earlier, with more force than originally expected. Crops were damaged, several areas had no power, and clean-up crews were out in full force. Yet, in true testament to the grit and determination of the south, the first day of the Sunbelt Ag Expo opened that morning, as scheduled.
What is it?
Often known as “North America’s Premier Farm Show,” ® this annual event draws people from all over the world. The mission of those in charge? “To produce the premier farm show in the world; one that is conducive to trade and emphasizes information, education and implementation of the latest agricultural technology, research and equipment.” As a first-time sponsor, and a leader in the farm insurance industry, we were thrilled at the chance to be a part of such a mission.
Our Goals
We had two goals in mind as we prepped for the show: provide an oasis for visitors to take a break from the heat, and get people talking about us. With our prime spot on the grounds, sponsorship of the Youth Educational Challenges, and space for people to relax and get out of the heat, we were sure we’d make an impact.
How'd we do?

According to local rep, David Whittington, “This is the first year that COUNTRY has done anything of this size to get people in and notice who we are. I’m excited that we’ve put something together that’s representative of us in this region and as a company.”
One grateful visitor to our tent took full advantage of the oasis we created. Her exact words were “you saved my life today. I couldn’t stand this heat and wasn’t feeling well but I’ve been in your tent for the last two hours, resting and drinking free lemonade. Thank you!”
Thank you, Sunbelt Ag Expo, for having us! We can’t wait to come back!
