April 15, 2017

Atlanta high school student Ella Ekman put her artistic skills to good use demonstrating the connection between the farm and the table with her winning Peachtree Road Farmers Market reusable bag design.

The Grady High School student was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from COUNTRY Financial as winner of the fifth annual reusable bag design contest.

Three Atlanta-area high school students were selected as finalists for the “Give, Grow and Be Green” themed bag design contest. Kelly Kim of North Gwinnett High School and Bella Rossi of North Atlanta High School each received a $500 scholarship as runners-up.

The winning design was unveiled Saturday, April 15 during the Market’s 10th birthday celebration. The artwork of all three finalists was on display at the market.
