COUNTRY Financial® names Senior Vice President of Financial Service Operations
BLOOMINGTON - Kelvin Schill of Bloomington, IL, has been named Senior Vice President of Financial Service Operations effective April 23rd. Schill replaces Wade Harrison, who will serve in an executive assistant role until he leaves COUNTRY Financial on May 1st. Schill previously served as Vice President of Financial Products. In that role, he was the chief actuary of COUNTRY Life Insurance Company and COUNTRY Investors Life Assurance Company and responsible for the design, pricing and support of financial products.
Prior to joining COUNTRY Financial, Schill worked with General Electric’s direct insurance business. He held various positions at GE, including valuation actuary, quality leader, risk leader, P&L leader, and culminating as the business leader and chief operating officer from 2008 to 2012.
Prior to joining GE, Schill was a valuation actuary at Bankers Life and Casualty from 2001 to 2003, a consulting actuary with Ernst & Young LLP from 1995 to 2001 and a programming actuary at USLIFE Insurance Company, now part of AIG American General, from 1993 to 1995.
Schill earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and biblical studies from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, and a master’s degree in divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He pursued his actuarial designation under the Society of Actuaries, and is a Fellow, Society of Actuaries and a Member, American Academy of Actuaries.
In addition, Schill serves as a teaching leader of the men’s Bible Study Fellowship group, an inter-denominational Bible study group with 1,100 groups in 38 countries.
He lives in Bloomington, IL, with his spouse, Polly, and their five children.
