COUNTRY Customer Service Receives Top Illinois Rankings

August 19, 2011

COUNTRY Financial ranked No. 1 with the lowest complaint ratio among Illinois auto and life insurers in 2010, according to the Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI).

COUNTRY has had the lowest auto complaint ratio for the last 11 of 12 years. For every $1 million in written auto premium, it had .04 complaints, the lowest among the report’s other 50 insurers.

COUNTRY Life also had the lowest complaint ratio among 34 companies at .12 per $1 million in written premium. Prior to 2010, COUNTRY Life did not appear in the ranking because the IDOI received fewer than 10 complaints. IDOI officials changed the ranking system last year to list companies for which they received 5 or more written complaints.

COUNTRY ranked second among 31 home insurers with a complaint ratio of .23 for every $1 million in written home premium. COUNTRY has ranked in the top two home insurers for the last 12 years.

“Our clients know they get more than an insurance policy when they do business with COUNTRY,” says John Blackburn, COUNTRY chief executive officer. “We build long-lasting relationships with our clients, who can rely on 86 years of experience from people they know and trust.”
