A.M. Best Confirms Superior Rating for COUNTRY
COUNTRY Life has retained Best’s highest rating category for more than 75 consecutive years, and COUNTRY Mutual has earned the rating for more than 70 years.

According to A.M. Best, the A+ Superior rating for the property and casualty companies was based on “an effective distribution network, customer loyalty, local market knowledge and a conservative business strategy.”
The A+ Superior rating applied to all nine companies in the COUNTRY property and casualty group:
- COUNTRY Casualty Insurance Company
- COUNTRY Mutual Insurance Company
- COUNTRY Preferred Insurance Company
- Cotton States Mutual Insurance Company, Atlanta, Ga.
- Holyoke Mutual Insurance Company, Salem, Mass.
- MSI Preferred Insurance Company
- Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company, Middletown, Conn.
- Shield Insurance Company, Atlanta, Ga.

The COUNTRY Life Insurance Company and its subsidiary, COUNTRY Investors Life Assurance Company, were also rated A+ Superior based on their “consolidated strength,” according to A.M. Best.
Cotton States Life Insurance Company of Atlanta, Ga., a COUNTRY affiliate, maintained its rating of A- Excellent.
