Industry Analyst Confirms Superior Ratings for COUNTRY

COUNTRY Mutual Insurance Company and COUNTRY Life Insurance Company have been included in Best’s highest rating category for more than 70 consecutive years.


Property and Casualty Companies

According to A.M. Best, the A+ Superior rating for the property and casualty companies is reflective of the group’s “strong capitalization, favorable operating performance, adherence to strict underwriting principles and its competitive advantage.”

The A+ Superior rating applies to all 10 companies in the COUNTRY property and casualty group:

  • COUNTRY Mutual Insurance Company
  • COUNTRY Casualty Insurance Company
  • COUNTRY Preferred Insurance Company
  • MSI Preferred Insurance Company
  • Strategic alliance partners Cotton States Mutual Insurance Company and its subsidiary Shield Insurance Company, both of Atlanta, Ga.
  • Holyoke Mutual Insurance Company, Salem, Mass.
  • Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company, Middletown, Conn.


Life and Health Companies

According to A.M. Best, the A+ Superior ratings for COUNTRY Life Insurance Company and its subsidiary, COUNTRY Investors Life Assurance Company, are based on their “consolidated strength." The rating reflects the COUNTRY life companies’ “superior capitalization as well as their improved direct life insurance premium growth trends.”

Cotton States Life Insurance Company of Atlanta, Ga., also part of COUNTRY, maintained its A- Excellent rating.
