"The entire COUNTRY atmosphere is filled with a great sense of belonging — most of the time I felt like a full-time employee, not an intern."

The best part about working at COUNTRY Financial has been the endless encouragement provided towards my professional development. The close-knit community of employees shined through from my first encounter with this company and continuously provided the personal touch I was seeking. Recruiters at the internship fair and through my interview process genuinely cared about my interests and the desires I had for this organization. I was then provided with two mentors within my department to learn various job duties, and was consistently provided with feedback regarding the real-work tasks I completed. My understanding of business analyst and tester roles is now far beyond what I could take from the classroom.

The COUNTRY Financial internship far exceeded my expectations. We were provided with endless opportunities to further our business knowledge through speaker series, a case study competition, and free-reign with job shadows where every employee I reached out to was happy to accommodate. Another beneficial part was the open atmosphere created among interns from the first day. This allowed me to meet amazing students from around the Midwest with similar interests and goals. Opportunities such as volunteer days and group lunches are not always available during intern programs, but make all the difference to a successful and enriching experience.
