Auto Insurance
From customized auto insurance coverage to claim assistance, your COUNTRY® Financial representative will be there every step of the way.
We never try to sell you an “off the shelf” auto insurance policy. Your financial representative listens to your needs and then asks questions before presenting you with your customized coverage choices that fit your budget. Some common concerns include
- Do you have enough liability coverage if you cause an accident and someone in another car is injured?
- Will your auto coverage pay for a brand new vehicle if your car is totaled in an accident?
- Does your auto coverage include a rental car if your car is being repaired?
Auto insurance is just one building block of financial security. Your financial representative will work with your needs and budget to create a tangible plan customized just for you.
Auto insurance coverage options
The Keeper
Our 100% repair/replacement coverage protects your newer vehicle for up to four model years.1 A car loses 15 to 20 percent of its value each year. However, the first year of depreciation tends to be even steeper.2
If your vehicle suffers severe damage, The Keeper pays the full repair cost even if the cost of those repairs exceeds the current market value of the car. Most other insurers just pay up to the current market value. If the estimated repair cost plus the value of the vehicle in its damaged condition exceed the cost of a new car, COUNTRY pays for a brand new car or light truck, same make and model. 3 Coverage varies by state, so talk to a COUNTRY Financial representative to see if you are eligible.
Comprehensive coverage
Covers your vehicle if stolen or accidentally damaged by any cause that is not specifically excluded. It does not cover collision. Comprehensive coverage also provides up to $40 per day (with a specified total limit) for a rental car, beginning 48 hours after you report an auto theft to us and the police.
Collision coverage
Covers your vehicle if you should overturn or hit another vehicle or object.
Vehicle liability
Covers bodily injury and property damages in an accident that is your fault. Higher jury verdict awards in vehicular liability cases may impact auto insurance rates. The average jury award in auto liability cases was $261,000 in 2003, according to the most recent available data from Jury Verdict Research.4
Bodily injury liability
Protects you against financial loss because of injury you may cause to someone else. Available up to $500,000 per person and $1 million per occurrence.
Property damage liability
Protects you against financial loss because of damage you may cause to the property of others. Available up to $500,000.
Medical expense
Pays medical bills you or the occupants of your vehicle incur within two years of a covered auto accident as a result of injury caused by the accident, regardless of who is at fault. Up to $100,000 in coverage per person is available. Coverage may vary and is optional in some states.
Uninsured motorist coverage
Pays expenses if you or an occupant of your vehicle is injured or killed in an auto accident when the other driver is at fault and does not have insurance. In some cases it pays when the at-fault driver is not identified. Uninsured motorist coverage covers bodily injuries – not damage to your vehicle. Coverage is available up to bodily injury liability limits and may vary in some states. Not required in all states.
Underinsured motorists
Pays expenses if you or someone in your car is injured or killed in an auto accident when the other driver is at fault and does not have enough insurance to cover the expenses of those injuries. Coverage is available up to bodily injury liability limits and may vary in some states. Not required in all states.
Emergency road service
Reimburses you up to $100 total for roadside assistance including towing, delivery of motor fuel and repair parts, and labor where your car breaks down. If you’re ever stranded, help is just a toll-free phone call away, 24 hours a day, anywhere in the 50 states and Canada. Coverage varies by state, some vehicle types are excluded.
Safety glass coverage
Waives your comprehensive deductible for the cost of repairing or replacing "Safety Glass" (such as glass in windshields, windows, or plastic or other material that functions as glass in lights) if you have an auto claim under your comprehensive coverage. Coverage is optional.
Vehicle rental/trip interruption coverage
Reimburses up to $800 for travel expenses including vehicle rental, transportation, lodging, and meals. Dollar limit varies by state.
Motorcycle insurance
Provides coverage for properly licensed drivers on motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters, and motorized bicycles.
Special tenants coverage
Offers liability and medical protection, replacement cost coverage for your personal property, and coverage for temporary living expenses if your residence is uninhabitable. Designed for the renter with basic needs. Coverage is added to your auto policy instead of a separate renters policy.
Personal umbrella
Reimburses for injuries to another person or damage to someone’s property where you are responsible for the injuries or damages. With liability lawsuit awards on the rise, it’s important to make sure you’re protected if you get sued. With our personal umbrella insurance, you can purchase extra liability protection of $1,000,000 or more.
