  15. Is my salary a draw?

No. Paychecks are distributed on a bi-weekly basis, based on productivity. Commissions and bonuses are added to each paycheck, not subtracted.

  16. How do I earn commissions?

Once licensed to sell insurance and financial products, our financial representatives are eligible to earn commissions on new business. They are also qualified to participate in bonus and incentive programs based on sales production.

  17. What is renewal income?

Renewal income is the commissions paid every time an existing client makes a premium payment. When it is time to move to career status, the client base will be large enough to operate business on renewal income.

  18. What is a Career Financial Representative?

A Career Financial Representative is an individual who has control over his or her own office and relies on renewal income to pay office expenses as well as hire and pay his/her own staff. After the first three to five years at COUNTRY, our financial representatives move to "career" status.

  19. What kind of training is involved?

Our COUNTRY Financial representative training program follows a "learn by doing" approach through comprehensive, client focused, simulated learning. The program supports the COUNTRY vision of providing financial security solutions to all clients. 20. Does COUNTRY support continuing education for COUNTRY Financial representatives?

COUNTRY supports continuing education for all COUNTRY Financial representatives. It helps in developing credibility with your clients. COUNTRY reimburses financial representatives for corporate-approved industry designation courses (exam fees and books) upon successful completion. COUNTRY Financial representatives also receive a one-time $2,000 completion bonus for achieving select designations. Visit Training and Development for more information.

  21. What will training cost?

Nothing but time! COUNTRY will pay for all travel expenses and course materials.

  22. What kind of licenses do I need?

COUNTRY Financial representatives must have the proper licensing to legally sell insurance and financial products. As a financial representative with COUNTRY, you will be required to obtain several licenses right away:

    • Series 6 and 63 securities licenses (or equivalents)
    • Property & Casualty license
    • Life & Health license

  23. What will my license cost?

COUNTRY partners with our financial representatives by underwriting the cost of state insurance license classes, if required. The cost of the state licenses must be paid by the financial representative. Costs vary by state.

  24. Should I have any licenses or designations before I apply?

Holding any of the required licenses upon hire definitely offers an advantage over other prospective candidates. Although there are many benefits to already acquiring licenses, it is not mandatory for consideration as a COUNTRY candidate.
