  1. Do I need disability income insurance if I have coverage through work?

Some employers that offer disability insurance only provide short term disability coverage, which leaves you unprotected if you experience a long-term disability.

  2. Won't social security disability cover me if I become disabled?

While social security does provide some disability benefits, the conditions eligible for benefits are limited and strictly defined.

  3. How much income do I get if I should become disabled?

The monthly benefit amount you can purchase is determined by your income and occupation. Meet with a COUNTRY Financial representative in your community to determine the benefit amount you may be eligible for.

  4. How long can benefits last?

With a COUNTRY disability income policy, you determine the benefit period - two years, five years or to-Age-65.

  5. Do I receive benefits immediately?

As with most disability policies, there is a “waiting period” following your disability before you receive benefits. The waiting period can range from 30 to 365 days, depending on the policy you choose.
